Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 5 September 2026

In short: Factorybook is software you and your company use at your own risk to run day-to-day manufacturing operations. Your business data belongs to you. Don't use it for anything illegal, don't try to break it, and understand that as a growing product, we can't promise it'll never go down.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in, or using Factorybook ("the Service") in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company, and "you" below means that company.

2. What Factorybook is

Factorybook is a manufacturing-operations tool for logging production, orders, incoming raw-material stock, and related business records, and for viewing computed reports (stock levels, production summaries, and similar figures) based on what your team enters. It is provided as-is and is not a substitute for accounting, legal, tax, or compliance advice.

3. Accounts and workspaces

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your data

You and your company retain ownership of the business data you enter into Factorybook (production logs, orders, customer details, product catalogs, and similar records). We don't claim ownership of it, and we don't sell it. You're responsible for having the right to collect and store any customer or employee data you enter, and for complying with applicable data protection law with respect to that data (see our Privacy Policy for how we, in turn, handle it on your behalf).

6. AI-assisted data extraction

Where you use a feature that extracts data from an uploaded document or image (for example, a supplier invoice) using an AI model, you're responsible for reviewing the extracted values before saving them — automated extraction can make mistakes, and Factorybook does not guarantee its accuracy.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, add to, or remove features over time, and we'll make reasonable efforts to avoid disrupting your workflow when we do.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to a workspace if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, or if required by law. Where practical, we'll provide notice and an opportunity to export your data first.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Factorybook and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to business losses arising from inaccurate stock, production, or cost figures — you remain responsible for verifying data critical to your business decisions.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to workspace admins where practical. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
